Looks like we won't have anymore movies filmed in Jersey if our Gov. has his way. Starting next month funding has been cut for the NJ State Film Commission.

Check this for details.

I have been following this story for about two weeks now. First I heard of it, he was thinking about cutting it, and then I heard that it was cut. It seems stupid to cut a $500k budget that returns $92m. It sounds like something else is going on here...like maybe the Gov. didn't like what he got for his birthday.

In actuality, they will be eliminating the department the way it currently exists, and it will be folded into "Economic Development Authority". I don't think its a good idea , but I don't think anything will change with the petition.
