Multiplayer Programmer/Designer

Our client located in the heart of New York City has an exciting opportunity for a talented Multiplayer Programmer/Designer in the gaming industry.

Job Requirements
•Design and help implement Multiplayer specific systems for game titles-Prototype game concepts and architectures, working closely with the development team
•Creating new systems, extending existing components for the Unreal 3 engine.
• Programmers must be able to follow the technical direction of the Lead Programmer, and help assist other programmers as needed
• Understanding of the fundamental networking architecture and client-server models
• Previous experience writing game network code using TCP/IP and UDP stacks is highly preferred!
• Experience handling bandwidth, latency and synchronization issues is a plus
• Experience developing on Xbox360, PS3, Wii, PC or previous generation platforms highly preferred
• Solid C/C++ skills
• Positive attitude
• Strong work ethic
• Willingness to adapt
Requirements
Required Education/Relevant Experience:
• Game Programming
• Xbox Live Programming a plus
• Wii or PS3 online experience a plus
• Computer science or similar degree, or comparable experience.
