So I've been playing CS:S competetively for about a year and a half now, was bored tonight so I decided to look up for some LANs going on in NJ around where I live. This site was one of the first ones on the list, I click it and look at it and I can't be more shocked. It said the lan was at the firehouse in Kinnelon, I live in Kinnelon no more than 10 min from the firehouse, wierd stuff. Is there going to be a 2007 lan in Kinnelon? I'd hit that up for sure.

Hey Shogg,

Welcome to the site! Yeah, we have been having parties in Butler/Kinnelon since 2003. We don't have a lot of people into CS, but we'll play anything if we can get enough people. Actually, I was thinking about going out for some CS about two weeks ago. I was board, and I wanted a quick game of something different. Do you play on any servers regularly? Do you have xfire? Add me/us if you do.

Right now, our main game is BF2. Before that it was UT2K4. We have played Quake 4, but it never really took off. Some of us have been known to play DOD (and DOD:S). One of our guys used to run a very popular DMC Server.

There are so many games now, it is hard to play all the games we used to love, we started to do WAN-Parties. We all meet online at a specific time/server and play one game all night.

Since you are up on CS stuff...What is going on with the community pricing in CS? I recently heard that server admins have the option of turning it off. Is that true?

Let me know if I should add you to our Lan Party lists...Also, are you over 18?

Anyway...See you around.

The new pricing system in CS is actually pretty dumb and I don't think anyone understands why valve decided to make it. What it does is each week looks at data recieved from every server listing what how many of each gun was bought, and updates it's price according to demand. One major flaw of course was that everyone loves the deagle so much that it's price rose to 16,000$ instead of the standard 650$ in under a month. Luckily, they made it toggleable per server (using the mp_dynamicpricing 0 command). Probably about 99% of all servers have turned the feature off because it really is stupid.

But anyways, CS:S is my main game, I play competitive in leagues and such, I have played BF2 for a little while but I couldn't really get into it.

I'm 16 currently and don't go to LAN's much (mostly cause I can't drive myself there yet), but I'd be happy to go to any LAN that is going on in my own town.

Hey Shogg, I'm more of the Deathmatch Quake/UT type, I could never get in to the military shooters. But I always participate! Every military sim games always needs some good canon fodder to make it more realistic. Anyways welcome and I'm always willing to be pwn'd in yet another Military Sim.

Hi Shogg,

I'm sorry about this... I am busy with graduate school, so sometimes I have to miss a few posts.

I was unable to get the firehall. I was working on something else for April. I will post an update in a day or two. In the mean time, are you at all interested in joining us for the TFC. Since you're right here...I could give you a ride...

Murdock

PS...would you be interested in getting together for a WAN party in the mean time?
