Right now I have a unix box that is running apache and acting as a web server. I run a Smoothwall firewall that runs linux and I'm taking the leap and dedicating a machine to function as a Linux Desktop. It will only be P3 but with a Nvidia 4200 card and 512 megs of Ram.
Any opinions on what flavor of nux?
I was going Red Hat, which seems to be the favorite, any other opinions?

Well the new distro that all the cool kids like is Ubuntu. But it is pretty great though. It's well know for great hardware identification.
It's one disc is an easy download. The only other contender is Fedora. Which is 5CDs or one 3.8 gig DVD.
But to really be cool, since you have an Nvidia card, you can install Beryl because it's so cool looking.
