UT2004 is dropping that whole UT2003 backwards compatibility thing, here's what Epic's Tim Sweeney said: "Networking won't work between UT2003 and UT2004. We had initially planned to support that, but the network code has changed so much in order to reduce bandwidth, support vehicles, and increase performance, that we couldn't keep the two games network-compatible."
So, when is UT2004 coming out, anyway? Next month isn't looking too great, but maybe March? Oh, the suspense!

More waiting it looks like..

I have installed the UT2004 dedicated server on my linux box. I am seeing what is needed to get mapvote to work on it. Though it may need the supress statement removed but that didn't completely do it.

Also looking to see how the mutators are added if possible. The UT2004 server is at 67.80.49.40.

Note that I have been having some problems with the drive and it has crashed once during install/startup. Will continue to monitor. I may end up putting it on my windows P4 2.8Ghz system.

Hey Guys,

ITS HERE, and its RUNNING..

Murdocks UT2k4 FULL VERSION server 67.85.162.91

I have it set for map vote (just his escape while in a game, and click
MAP VOTE)

The server may not show up on the LIST in the Server BROWSER,
so if it does not, add it as a FAV,

Click on FAV tab, then RIGHT CLICK on the BLANK SPACE on the bottom
and youll see "ADD IP and ADD FAV" type in the IP 67.85.162.91

** NOTE, if you do not see these options, click REFRESH first,
and then right click the BLANK SPACE, and youll see the option (KIK)..

Guys,

The SE / DVD version is awesome. The Logitech headset it comes with is worth the money. If your gonna try and get it in a store, be there EARLY,
most stores will get 10 copies of SE or less..

Try Best Buy, and COMPUSA..

blurry fonts in ut2k4 are from your MIPMAP level on your video card.

For NVIDIA based cards, right click DESKTOP, select PROPERTIES,
Settings tab / Advanced, and then select GEFORCE tab.
Then click on DIRECT 3D on the left, and look at your MIPMAP level.
I had mine set to BEST PERFORMANCE, and I could not read the FONTS in the MENUS.
I set it to BLEND, and now its fine.

Try that and email me if it does not work for you..

Guys,

there are a total of 118 maps in the Full version.

Keep in mind that 12 of them are FLUFF maps,
like the Tutorial maps, and the ENTRY and PARTICLE DEMO,
and some are ripped right from Ut2k3.

Take special notice of these maps..
