NJLP MADLAN Party

Post by Osiramon »

Some info on the MADLAN (Madison Lan ) Party:

I mentioned that I would be having this party at NJLP's JAN LAN party, and it was sent to NJLP's invite list last month. Since this is a house party, size and number of people showing do matter.

When:
The main party is from 10:00am to 10:00pm (or whenever) on Saturday February 26, 2005. If needed I have a couple of sofa beds and one day bed available for people who need to crash on Friday night. If you want this crash space, I need to know you are coming BEFORE Thursday. Some sleeping bags areas are possible.

I have no problems if people want to use Friday night to come by, set up their PC and then leave as well. Some fragging may occur as the servers will already be set up.

Where:
It's in Madison, NJ. Directions and house information is at this location:

http://www.srygley.us/HouseDirections.htm

Size:
12-22 people

General spacing Info:

Space is First In First Space. I have tablespace for 11 other PC gamers in one room and if others bring tables I can put another 6-8 in the room next to it. For more, the overflow would go upstairs where I can set up like 3 tables in the dining room/ living with 2-3 tables per table. I have cables to all rooms but it will be interesting how the switches get set up if I have to use upstairs. Bringing a table with you will reserve you a spot (even if we end up not using your table.)

I have not yet had to use the upstairs 'Overflow' area at any of the lan parties but there can always be a first.

This is basically an adults only party. Parents may bring their children. That's ok as long as the parent stays with the kid.

We will have some food (Nutella for sure) but it's basically BYOC/B/F. We will send out for pizza/sandwiches at dinner.

EXTRA SUPRISE LUNCH and DEMONSTRATION:

Make it by 12:00pm and enjoy Lunch with Lou: I've got a suprise Lunch item that I will be preparing and the making of it is the demonstration. Leftovers will be available through the day even if you were late. Past Lan parties I had the gas grill going, but not this year as it needs to be replaced.

This is a Free Lan Party, but will take donations or tables ![/b]

Issues for Lan Party Due to Snow.

The recent snowfalls this week has left the street covered with snow on the side of the street. The road itself is clear but there is a large snow bank between the sidewalk and the road except for my driveway. As such if you are coming to my LAN party, the driveway will be for Loading and Unloading only.

The white zone is for loading and unloading... there is no parking in the red zone...

Go to the driveway and park there while getting your gear out. The Garage door will be open for this. You can put your gear in the Lan Party Area or keep in the garage for a short time for quicker unloading. Then pull out of driveway and park on the street. The road I am on is used often (one car every minute or so). The street across from my house is rarely used so you can park there if you are worried about having the car in the road.
