New UT2K3 Server going up

Ok all FortWeb is starting up a UT2K3 server.. Not to downplay Murdock's server but Fort web does web/business/game hosting as a business full time. They have a great network to get tons of people on at high speed..

And I am currently an Admin their so I'm trying to get some people interested in UT2K3..

As soon as I have an IP I'll send it out.. I want to setup some CTF, Double Domination, and Assault teams and have some fun online..
Our servers are all well connected to the Internet! They sit on multiple OC3, DS3 and GB Links so access is always fast and clean. We evaluate each of our data centers and choose only the most reliable, professionally staffed bandwidth providers in the country!

We use multiple data centers in different geographical locations for a very good reason. Although our servers are rock solid we can't anticipate a catastrophic event. If anything would ever happen to one of our servers, chances are high that our other data centers would not be effected. This would allow us to move clients to another server very quickly with a DNS change.

New Server Going up

I have created a new Linux UT2003 server which will hopefully be going up soon. Will detail some of the problems here:

1. The unreal server does not come with the ucc command batch file. You have to create it or download it from somewhere else. This was fixed by looking at http://www.unrealadmin.org :)

2. Had trouble installing a ut2mod file. Found the ucc command to use again at http://www.unrealadmin.org. Its a great site for information and has a good set of links to map redirectors to use. :)

3. I'm having some problems having the game server seen from the other side. Both of my gateway servers are not properly forwarding to it and my lack of linux knowlege is causing some problems as well. Works well when I'm looking at it from inside the network.

I will publish the url when It comes up and can be seen by all.

Its up but not broadcasting properly. When it works it should use the following IPs to connecti:

67.80.49.40 - Cable Modem (this is the fastest upload side).
unclelouis.com (151.198.28.18 - Fixed DSL ip side.

Both routers are configured to go into server.

Hey Osiramon! The Server looks good! I ping'd it and its responding well. I can see its currently set up for CTF. Do you have Mapvote on it? Do you want to try your hand at TTM? Check Planetunreal for those things.

I don't care for TTM, but Mapvote is a must...not really.

I have added it to the server list on the ALPM software, and I may add it to the ServerSpy if I can with out changing the code for the page. I'm in PA right now, and can't easily modify the source.

Talk to you later!!!

Its up and has MapVote 4.00 beta ... :D

The address is: 67.80.49.40 - Cable Modem (this is the fastest upload side). I don't recommend unclelouis at this time, it has some strange filters being applied to it from Verizon.

If you see CTF-Citadal, make sure it's a deathmatch. The initial startup game I set was CTF-Citadel but with deathmatch started.

The name of the server is Corpus NJLP Linux Server (or something to that effect).

E-mail me any problems at CorpusD@NJLanparty.com

Have fixed some problems with the mapvote. It appears to be working now. Have had some combat on it against others.
