FYI...I will be shutting down the Teamspeak server at the end of the month due to lack of use. We really haven't been using it lately, and I need to start trimming the NJLP expenses.

Maybe. I think we may need to make it a private server though.

Haven't had mine up in a while, can you limit the amount of non reg accounts allowed on at a time?

If we're running it out of your house, I'd rather it be private. No need to have anyone scoping out your IP.

I'm not that concerned really about IP konwledge, I will dl the latest version and look at it starting this week.

Have you had anybody trying to worm there way in to your network?

digger, have you tested this. I want to create a teamspeak server on my spare computer. Just want to see if anyone knows how to set it up with admins and group names.

Yeah. I know all about it.

I've been running a TS server since V2. There is nothing to it.

The hardest part for me was reliable power and network. That is why I went off site.

Its relatively easy and I am sure its gotten easier since I ran one at home. I ran the TS server on my server box, with minecraft running, with my son and his cousin on it. They used my TS server to communicate and it worked fine. I was on FIOS they were on Cablevision\opt-online.

Most new routers on the ISP side will actually handle IP voice packets differently, which are the ones TeamSpeak uses, so traffic is not normally an issue.

Glad to hear that it sounds easy. I might give it a go and see what happens. Just want to put something on my server that I never ran in a while.

Don't remember what the ports are that you need for forwarding, but its only one or two.

For the party? Why don't we just use the NJLP TeamSpeak Server?

I wanted to know how I set up one permanently. Was planning on using the NJLP teamspeak server at the party.
