New game suggestion?

Hey everyone. I need some suggestions for a new game to play. I still love the classics(bf2, cod4, cod5, l4d, etc), but I'm looking for something new to play. I've been playing Far Cry 2, which is fun, but I'm looking for something a little different. Any suggestions? I was thinking Fallout 3, but I've never played the first fallouts. Do I need to play the first ones to understand the third?

Anyone else have any suggestions?

Let me be the first to cast a vote for Fallout 3, I've put quite a few hours into it since Christmas and I love it. You definitely don't need to have played the others I didn't and the story does well on it's own.

Well I played the original Fallout when it was a 3rd person scroller and I loved it.
