Ok welp, It seems the servers have quieted down, I spent most of yesterday and yesterday evening online and only get knocked out once.

Anyone up for some Fleet actions over the weekend? I have dinner on Sunday night but I'm up for any other times.

I've started playing Star Trek online as well. Look me up in you want to get together for missions.. my character's name/handle is Josabray.

I haven't played much..unfortunately I've been putting in 10-12 hour days at work for the past 2 weeks but it's the weekend and time to play..finally! It is not a bad game. It seems to capture the feel of Star Trek (if that makes any sense)

To the earlier post about pricing ... The pricing is comparable to other online games except that there is a special lifetime subscription that you can buy before Feb 1st. This is available with pre-orders only. It is $239. It is a gamble (the company could always go bust) but if it lasts for a while..its a good deal. Digger, I'll be playing STO. I've played the beta for a few hours, but have stopped cause the time I spent will be erased in a few days. Once the head start begins I'll be there more often. I'll be looking for a fleet at some point.

Well I'll be in Game Friday night, the head start starts on Friday. I'm not sure what my official first StarFleet Character Name will be yet, but I'll let you know.

I'm considering this too. It's a big investment for a game. I've never played a mmorpg before so I'm hesitant. Plus I'm not sure what will be going on later in the year or next for that matter. It may be safer for me to play it for 30 days and then do a 6 month sub or something like that.

Ok...I hope this game is good. I'm a life'er.

Honestly it wasn't for the Borg character, I see this getting as big and or bigger then WoW so it was for the long term haul. But the borg character is a nice bonus, it can't be modified to much, so it will not be my main. I need to think up a good character name for my first real starfleet character.

We need to get some team action going with all the njlp people playing. Murdock already started a room in his teamspeak server.

So what is everyone's career path going to be?

I'm going tactical for my main character with escort ships. I loved the defiant so I'm going this route. I'll probably make a science, engineer, and klingon character too.

I think Murdock is going engineer.

I'm probably going Science/Cruiser. I always wanted my own Enterprise.

Took the day off so I'll be home by 12:45 tomorrow, just in time for the early start to go live.

Lou has been strangely quiet on this thread, I think his Star Trek group/fleet are probably starting their own.

We'll see, his fleet might be our first Fleet vs Fleet action!
