Mechwarrior novels

Do anyone of you guys recommend the Mechwarrior novels? I'm interesed in getting more background information about the universe and how the clans are related to each other. Thanks.

I've been reading the newer Dark Age novels and have read everything that's been published to date, not a bad one in the bunch so far. They don't go real deep into the "history" but expand really well on the current story line.

I recommend any of the Stackpole novels from the first set - if anyone wants to borrow some of any of the Classic time period books, let me know. The only one that I have that is not for loan is the first book, called The Sword and Dagger (I'll explain why sometime...)
