Star Wars toys out tonight

Begun, the Star Wars hype machine has. Starting at midnight tonight, local stores will open and release the latest batch of merchandise tied to "Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith."
Everything from action figures to M&M's and a Mr. Potato Head called "Darth Tater" will be available at 12:01 a.m. sharp.
Toys "R" Us in the Town of Wallkill is one of the stores that will be open from midnight tonight through 2 a.m. tomorrow for local fans.
Also open at midnight will be Toys "R" Us in Poughkeepsie and Wal-Marts in the Town of Wallkill and Monroe.
Next-day options are the Wal-Marts in Milford, Pa., Monticello and Newburgh, which open at 7 a.m., and Target in the Town of Wallkill, which will open at 8 a.m.
"The company expects it to be something huge this year," said Brian Sholes, manager of Target in the Town of Wallkill.
And even though Target will open last, it has an ace up its sleeve in the form of a Darth Vader figure for first-come, first-served Star Wars fans.
"I just hope everyone acts in an orderly fashion," Sholes said.
Toys "R" Us and Wal-Mart also scored exclusive toys, although the Toys "R" Us holographic Yoda won't be available until April 10, and Wal-Mart's exclusive "Early Bird Kit" comes empty, but promises advance sales on a new line of figures coming in December.
Star Wars toys are credited with starting mass merchandising in Hollywood and have made George Lucas, creator of the series, billions of dollars.
"Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith" is the final film of the saga.
It holds the final piece to the puzzle of the Skywalker family and opens on local screens May 19.
