xbox one

Post by bmeister1 »

Guys,
I am interested in getting a xbox one. I would like to know if i can hook up the video output from the xbox to my gaming monitor and run the audio into my mixing board. If not, I would like to hook it up into my computer and play on my monitor and have the sound on my audio board. Is this possible?

All depends on your monitor and board.

The xbox one has the following for audio/video i/o

HDMI out: HDMI cable connects here and then to your TV.
S/PDIF: Optical audio output (optional; optical cable not included).
HDMI in: HDMI cable connects here and then to your HDMI-compatible cable/satellite receiver

Now I understand what needs to be done with the connections. I would need to go from spidif to an analog converter then into my board. Thanks for the help.

If you don't mind going through your controller, you can get a headset adaptor.

I use a combination of this:
http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-One-Stereo-H ... r+xbox+one

and this:
http://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-head ... r+xbox+one

to use any set of headphones I want. It pumps a stereo mix and the game chat through and you can adjust the mix levels of the two on the adaptor.

Very good suggestions. Something to look into getting in the near future.
