BioShock(1) Will not start

Anyone know how to get BioShock(1) to Start? I want to play it again, and the damn thing won't start. No error. It just shows the splash screen, and then the EXE goes away.

I have tried setting it to run as admin, as windows xp service pack 1 compatibility mode. Nothing works.
