My Silverstone Fortess build "TRue Black"

Post by [FETT]Cupcake »

Well, I finally have my new build finished to where I'm comfortable showing it off. It's based on the Silverstone Fortress FT01B-W case. I have to say, I love Silverstone. The quality is outstanding, and in my opinion, this case is the best. I didn't want a huge case, just one that was able to handle an SLI setup with ample room for some components. For the last few years I've had a SFF case, which didn't leave much room for anything. I have to say it was a pleasure to work on this case. I'm proud of it, let me know what you think.

So here is my desk setup, very neat and clean. I love that Deck keyboard.

Here is a side shot with the side panel off. All the interior surfaces are painted black and I sleeved just about all of the interior cables in black. The case has holes that go behind the mobo tray for hiding the wires and wire management. I love wire management.

Here is a night shot. I love the red and black together. The case has 2 180mm intake fans, one on the top and front, and one 120mm exhaust. It's a positive pressure setup.

Here is a closeup of the name inspiration for my case. The Thermalright True Black 120 cooler. That thing is massive. Especially with 2 120mm fans on it. The cooler is all black which goes with the theme. This shot also shows my 2 260 in sli. Nice. I also love how the psu is moun ted on the bottom. There is a vent underneath to allow cool air to come through the psu.

Here is the back of the case. Again all black, I painted the i/o shield and some of the pci slots in a gloss black to better match my theme.

Here it is dark

Here is the front. You can see the 180mm fan as well as my Silverstone FP-33 fan controller. The usb ports and such are on the top of the case. You can also see the Matrix Orbital GX Typhoon display, which is also very cool by the way.

I just had to put this on too. It's my Logitech G9 mouse with the custom ID grip and my custom fUnc Archetype 1030.

It took me some time to get the wire routing all correct. So what do you think?
