Gigabit Router Recommendations?
Gigabit Router Recommendations?
I looking to upgrade my router to gigabit and I want to know what everybody else is using. I need Gigabit with 802.11b/g. I was looking at this one http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=530 and just wanted to know what everybody else used.

Well I'll be honest I have sort of sworn off D-Link. I have no complaints about performance but I do have a problem with the product longevity.
I have had D-Link Firewall/Gateways, laptop cards, and PC cards and each item sort of died after a year or two of use.
Not all "died" lights out no power, but some cards would just start randomly drop signals. The gateway/fw use to fustrate the hell outta me. It would stop allowing connections from wireless devices on a given random day and would require a power off reset to get it working. That was after about a year and 9 months of use.
The gateway issue never was resolved. I complained enough that I got a technician to telnet in to the device from D-Link. After I had flashed the BIOS on it like 10 times, a D-Link instructed procedure, the tech went in and set the BIOS back to the version I had the day I bought it.
Still had the same problem. It appeared to be hardware related.
I have had much longer product life span with Linksys, even before they were bought out by Cisco,
So I'm in the Linksys Camp

I have a Linksys(WRT54G) now.
I started have problems where I had to turn off the router for a day. I called tech support and they started through their script. He wanted me to login to it even when I told him it wouldn't work.
