Ok so way way kewl.. But I think we can do better! We just have to all move close to each other and start building our own AT-ST!
:P

Just have to figure out the code to make the thing walk with out dragging its feet like the land walker. 8)

Someone needs to win millions so we can all work on a project like that for them!

Or we can just work on taking over the world..
Bleh, Signatures mean nothing to me!

By guess is that instead of trying to make it a true bipedal they just made it shuffle around and hoped that would be impressive enought. Not that it isn't.

If I were going to make a large scale mech I wouldn't do a AT-ST. Not that it would be cool, it just a boring design compared to all the other designs I've seen. They have a complete lack of personality which fit there role in star wars perfectly, but I would built one.

If I did it I would use Mech Warrior as a starting point and change it till it would work. It would have a Hybrid Diesel/Electric power system. That would then go to where the individual hydraulics went and be set up similar to how modern snow plows work. I would put a metal storm array http://www.metalstorm.com/ http://www.popularmechanics.com/science ... 81426.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metal_Storm and twin rail guns http://www.powerlabs.org/railgun.htm on one arm and a laser http://www.powerlabs.org/laser.htm one the other. In addition to having a forward and rear mount HERF guns http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-energ ... cy_weapons. It having a hybrid power system, energy could be moved from one system to another as the need arises.
:tank:

At least thats how I would do it if I were planing on building one. :) That reminds me, does anybody have a good resource on homemade bipedel robots? I'm having trouble finding anything useful. [/i]
